He was born Sept. 29, 1908, in Adams County. He was the son of the late Isaac and Susan Shoemaker Lentz.
He was a member of St. Ignatius Loyla Church in Bucahan Valley. He retired in 1973 from T.B. Wood's and Son's Company. He was previously employed with the Pennsylvania Department of Forest and Water.
He is survived by his wife, Rhoda Fickes Lentz; one daughter; Mrs. Eugene Kane, Cashtown; four sisters; Mrs. Francis Kane, Bighlerville; Mrs. paul Martz, Cashtown; Mrs. Albert Stenger, Chambersburg and Mrs. Alice Parr, Fayetteville; one brother, Leon B. Lentz, Waynesboro, and one grandson.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Ignatius Church with the Rev. Carl J. Steffen officiating. Burial will be at the St. Ignatius Cemetery.
