Rosa Lee Moore died Aug. 23 in Fort Worth. She was 78.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Scott's Funeral Home in Gatesville with the Rev. M. V. Hemphill officiating. Burial was in Restland Cemetery.
She was born Jan. 10, 1920, in Gatesville to the late Wm. Edgar and Eva Pearl Sims. She was reared and attended school in Pearl.
On March 9, 1946, she married W.M. "Buddie" Moore. They resided all their married lives in Gatesville. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1997.
She was a telephone operator for many years at the telephone company, and was a seamstress at Walls Manufacturing, retiring from there after many years of service.
She was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Duane Moore, on Feb. 27, 1990.
Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Moore and Johnnie Moore, both of Gatesville; one sister, Thelma Gaston of Gatesville; two brothers, Herman Sims of Gatesville and Milford Sims of Fort Stockton; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Willis Featherston, Bob Matthews, Don Wolske, Clyde Warren, Harold Pruitt, Woody Raby and Eddie Richter.
The family requests memorials be given to the Gatesville High School Class of 1965 Scholarship Fund, in care of Jeanne Munday, GISD Administration Office, 311 Lovers Lane, Gatesville, TX 76528.
