MRS OTTO PEETZ SUCCUMBS AT CITY HOSPITAL
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00pm for Mrs Otto Peetz, 59, of Bismarck Township, who passed away Tuesday afternoon, October 13, at the Rogers City Hospital. Mrs Peetz, the former Edith Horn, had been in ill health for the past several years and had been admitted to the hospital on Sunday.
Mrs Peetz was born in Rogers City on December 29, 1904, to the late Mr and Mrs Charles Horn. She was married to Otto Peetz on June 6, 1931, at St John Ev Lutheran Church, Rogers City, by the Rev Louis Linn. A life long resident of Presque Isle County, she served for a number of years as Treasurer of Rogers Township, as had her father before his death.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, William, of Carsonville, and a daughter, Mrs Richard (Marie) Roberts, of Port Huron; a sister, Mrs Emma Adrian of Yale and eight grandchildren.
Visitation is at the McWilliams Funeral Home until noon Friday when the body will be taken to St James Lutheran Church, Moltke, for services conducted by the Rev Harvey Jaeger. Interment will be inn the church cemetery.
