Mr. William "Bud" Ralph Peetz, of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, formerly of Moltke Township, Presque Isle County, heard the voice of his Lord Jesus saying "Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world." Beloved husband, father, and grandfather having been released from his long battle with Parkinson's disease, passed away at the Laurels of Mt. Pleasant on Holy Saturday, April 15, 2017, just hours before the dawn of Easter morn, at the venerable age of 83 years 2 months and 22 days

Bud, the son of Otto Frederick and Edith Anna Bertha (Horn) Peetz, was born in the family homestead home in Bismarck Township, Presque Isle County, on January 24, 1934. The three-generation family home included Bud's sister, Marie, his parents, and his paternal grandparents, Rudolph and Auguste (Komm) Peetz.

On November 7, 1948, Bud confirmed the vows made on his behalf by his godparents at his Baptism by Rev. Oscar M. Braunschweig in St James Evangelical Lutheran Church in Moltke

Through his sister Marie, Bud met and fell in love with Joyce Iva Wallace of Carsonville and Port Huron. On May 19, 1956, he and Joyce were united in marriage the Methodist Church in Carsonville, Michigan. Their wedding party included: Audrey Jacobs (maid of honor), Geraldine Jones, and Gloria McNeal were bridesmaids. Martin Kegler of Capac was best man. Louise Adrian and Fred Adrian, children of Bud's cousin, were flower-girl and ring-bearer.

Bud built his first home for Joyce directly across the road from his new in-laws. Bud was farmer who also worked for forty years for the Michigan Sugar Company.
