Funeral services were held at the Vernal Second Ward Chapel Tuesday for Thelma Massey Harrison Whitney, 64, who died at her home May 11.
She was born March 22, 1910 in Vernal to John D. Massey and Cynthis Frances Jarrell Massey. She married Francis L. Harrison, December 7, 1929. They were later divorced. She then married Charles Perry Whitney, February 7, 1942 in Provo. He preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker, member of the Vernal Fourth Ward and an avid flower gardner.
Survivors: one son, Phil Harrison, Vernal; foster daughter, a niece, Carol Jean Hatch, Dallas, Texas; four granddaughters; three brothers, two sisters, Van Massey, Vernal; Everett Massey, Hollywood, California; Sewell Massey, Roosevelt; Merle Ross, Roosevelt and Hazel Gurr, Vernal.
Interment was in the Vernal Memorial Park, under the direction of Thomson's Vernal Mortuary.
