Everett's work took him to Wyoming where he met his first wife. They lived in Kemmerer and he helped her in her photo studio. They moved to Vernal and Everett went in as a partner on a sawmill. After that they moved to Williams, Arizona and then on to California.

Everett's second wife, Nellie and he resided in HollYWOOd, where he worked for 28 years in the motion picture studios of the various companies, helping build sets for movies.

Everett had many hobbies and talents. He made beautiful jewelry for many of his friends and family in his lapidary. Among his inventions was a special pick for playing the guitar.
