Lee received his education in the schools of Republic Co., and was united in marriage to Alice Jenkins on Dec. 23, 1914. To this union six children were born. He lived his entire life in Republic Co. where he was engaged in farming.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Alice in 1975, one daughter, Wilma, one son, Donald, one sister and four brothers. He is survived by one son, Doyle, and his wife Jean of Belleville; three daughters, Mrs. Wanda Craig and her husband Lloyd of Chester, Mrs. Winona Prothro and her husband Lloyd of Belleville, Mrs. Roma Francis and her husband Eugene of Mission, KS; one sister, Mrs. Gerald (Mildred) Huckins of Chester; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, August 10, 1978, at 10 a.m., at the Friends Church of Belleville, conducted by the Rev. Robert Storms. Interment was made in Chester Cemetery, Chester.
