Alice Jenkins George, daughter of Joseph and Louisa J. Harris Jenkins, was born in Republic Co., Kans., on Nov. 10, 1896, and passed away Dec. 14, 1975 at Republic Co. Hospital, Belleville, Kans., at the age of 79 years, one month and four days.

She received her education in the schools of Republic Co. She was united in marriage to Lee George on Dec. 23, 1914 and to this union six children were born. She spent her entire life in Republic County. She was a member of the Friends Church, Belleville, Ks.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Wilma; one son, Donald, one sister and three brothers.

She is survived by her husband, Lee, of the home; one son, Doyle of Belleville; three daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Wanda) Craig of Chester, Mrs. Lloyd (Winona) Protho of Belleville, Mrs. Eugene (Roma) Francis of Kansas City, Mo.; three sisters, Mrs. Bertie Randels of Ft. Morgan, Colo., Mrs. Lizzie Bentz of Fairbury and Mrs. Jay Dettman of Narka, Ks.; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; several other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held on Wed., Dec. 17, 1975 at 3:00 p.m. at the Friends Church in Belleville, conducted by Rev. Robert Storms. Robert Blecha was soloist with Gayle Storms the accompanist. Casket bearers were Arnold Stindt, Owen Stindt, Abie Williams, Louis Holtz, Elmer Hoard, Charles Mikesell. Interment was in the Chester Cemetery, Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
