Mrs. Amanda Koch Succumbs Sunday

Hilbert – Mrs. Amanda Koch, nee Ortlepp, passed away at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at her home in Potter. She was 70 years old.
Mrs. Koch was born April 7, 1877, in Rantoul and was married to Emil Koch on Oct. 17, 1897. She was a charter member of the Trinity church in Rantoul and served as secretary of the Ladies' Aid society of that parish for 24 years. Her husband preceded her in death in 1944.
Surviving are a son, Alfred, and a daughter, Mrs. George Redig, both of Rantoul; two brothers, Max and Richard, both of Potter; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Hass of New Holstein, Mrs. Wm Schnuell of Charlestown and Mrs. Albert Hintz of Kiel, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Techtmann Funeral home in Hilbert and at 2 o'clock at Trinity Lutheran church with the Rev. G. F. Barthel officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
