FINLEY ADDY OF WINTERSET DIES

Long-Time Resident of This County Was 82 Years Of Age

Finley C. Addy of Winterset, a resident of Madison county most of his life, died Sunday, Nov. 29 at Memorial hospital here. He was 82 years of age.

Mr. Addy was a son of Alexander and Mary Howell Addy. He was born Oct. 18, 1882 at Peoria, Ill., but came to this community early in life. His active life was spent in farming, but he had been retired in recent years.

He was married at Van Meter on Oct. 17, 1906, to Carrie Manders, who survives him. One daughter, Berniece, also preceded him in death.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, are a son, Dwight M. Addy of Winterset; two daughters, Mrs. Flossie Pritchard of Peru and Mrs. Corgie Courtney of Lorimor; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a brother, Orvie Addy of Winterset; and four sisters, Mrs. Emma Thompson of Van Meter, Mrs. Blanche Brooker of Winterset, Mrs. Leo Walters of Ree Heights, S. Dak., and Mrs. Gretta Dorrell of Mississippi.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Wilson Funeral home in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. Asa Smith of the Latter Day Saints church. Burial will be made in North McDonald cemetery.
