Knox, Luther – 71, of Route 1, Kingston, Paint Rock community, passed away at 6:25 a.m. Sunday at his residence.
He was the son of Newton and Amanda Knox of Niota, member of Niota Methodist Church.
Survivors: wife, Martha E. Queen Knox; sons, J. C., Carryton, Thomas Knox, Knoxville, Marvin Knox, Kingston, Paul Knox, Los Angeles, Calif.; daughters, Mrs. Katherine McDaniels, Mrs. David (Emily) Armstrong, both of Knoxville, Mrs. Wayne (Martha) Bradley, Ashtabula, Ohio; sisters, Mrs. J. C. Wattenberger, Bakersfield, Calif., Mrs. Hattie Ridgeway, Oildale, Calif., brothers, John Knox, Athens, Walter Knox, Hamden, Conn.; 19 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
Rev. Raymond Hall, Rev. James Stone will officiate. Interment in Paint Rock Cemetery. The body will be at the residence after 10 a.m. Monday. The family will receive friends at home.
Time of service will be announced later.
