Charlotte Johnson Taylor, wife of Fred G. Taylor, died Wednesday evening at ten-fifty at the family residence in Harrisville after an illness of some months.

Mrs. Taylor was an ardent L.D.S. church worker, having filled many responsible positions in wards and stakes, both here and in the east. She was born March 28, 1879, in Ogden, a daughter of Joseph T. and Elizabeth Rollins Johnson.

Her early life was spent in Ogden and in southern Utah. On April 3, 1901 she was married in the Salt Lake temple to Fred G. Taylor, and they resided variously at Ogden, Logan and Lewiston, Utah and La Grande, Oregon and more recently in New York City.

Mrs. Taylor left Ogden in the fall of 1928 for New York to join Mr. Taylor, employed there by the Sugar Institute, and had resided therre since. She had been ill for several months, and after a recent operation was brought home in the hope that surrounded by her friends and loved ones at the old home, the opportunity of her recovery might be advanced, but her condition became critical culminating in her passing Wednesday evening.

Before leaving Ogden Mrs. Taylor took part in Daughter of Utah Pioneers, Relief society and religion class work and was an active member of the Acacia club. Since residing in New York she had been active in genealogical work in the New York district of the L.D.S. eastern states mission. Besides Mr. Taylor, all of Mrs. Taylor's children were present at the bedside at the time of her passing. She is survived by her aged parents in Harrisville, five brothers, two sisters, her husband and the following children: Marion E., Hugh A., Mrs. Elma T. Wadsworth, F. Chase and Fred G. Jr., also three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock in the Twelfth ward chapel, with Bishop David J. Wilson presiding.

Friends may call at Lindquist & Sons' chapel Friday from two until five o'clock and then at the home in Harrisville from seven until ten o'clock an Saturday until one o'clock, when the body will be taken to the Twelfth ward. Interment will be made in the Ogden City cemetery.
