Hans Eugene was born on Oct. 29 1881 at Appleton,Mn to Ole Hans & Ragnhid J.(Solijhen)Wangen. He moved with his family to Nash TWP., Nelson county ,Petersburg,ND in 1898 and lived ther until his death. He married Mary Theresa Donnelly on Dec. 6 1906 at Grand Forks,ND He was a farmer all his life. He raised 7 children. Mary Lucille,Lugena,Joseph, Osborne,Lawrence,Hans,Anna,& Alyce. He belonged to the Lutheran faith.
He is survived by his wife Mary; four sons: Joseph,of Grand Forks, North Dakota, Osborne, Lawrence and Hans Jr. all of Petersburg, North Dakota,; one daughter, Alyce(Robert("Brooks")McMillan, of Niagara,North Dakota; 10 grandchildren. Three sister; Lesa (Edward) Schneider, Edith(Carl) Quigley, and Ammie(Hampton)Young.
He was preceded in death by three daughters, Mary Lucille(Adolph)Hassell, Lugena Agnes(Addie)McMillan and Anna Marie Wangen. Three sisters Hansina(Susan) Wangen, Inga"Mattie"(John)Nelson and Ole Wangen.
Funeral services at Petersburg Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. with burial at the Michigan Cemetery in the Spring.
