Caroline Ottilie Woltmann was born in Wronczyn, Germany. She was the daughter of Michael and Henriette Heth Woltmann. She married Johann "John" Reinke in 1881. In 1886, she and her infant son August accompanied her parents to America aboard the SS Elbe. It appears that her husband may have preceded her.
In 1900, Caroline and John were renting on a farm near Industry, Texas. They had two more sons, Walter and Richard. By 1910, they had moved to adjacent Waller County, where Caroline died in 1917.
