Henriette was born in Borowko, Posen, Germany to Ludwig and Anna Rosina Gens Heth (also spelled Hedt). On November 23, 1852 she married Michael Woltmann in Pudewitz. They came to America aboard the SS Elbe in 1886, arriving at the port of New York and making their way to Texas. They settled near Brenham.
Seven of their children also came to Texas between 1884 and 1891: Julius, Caroline, Auguste, Gustav, Karl, August, and Emma. It appears that two of Henriette's siblings, Eva Rosina Heth Grams Henke and Carl August Heth, also immigrated to Texas.
Michael died in 1907. In 1913, Henriette passed away at the home of her son, August, in Temple, Texas.
