Loyzet "Lon" Stewart, 64, Borger, died Tuesday, June 19, 1990 in St. Anthony's Hospice in Amarillo.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains with the Rev. Art McAninach [sic], pastor of Fairlanes Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.

A native of Coffman [sic], he had been a Borger resident for 39 years. He was a switchman with Sante [sic] Fe Railorad [sic] and a former employee of Clyde and Scotty's Gulf Service, and Riverview 66 Service.

Mr. Stewart was a member of Fairlanes Baptist Church, and VFW. He was a World War II vetern [sic] serving in Europe.

He married Stella Hayes Sept. 22, 1951 in Borger.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Dean Stewart of Amarillo; one daughter, Margueita Tate of Borger; three brothers, E.J. Stewart of Amarillo; Roy Stewart of Borger; and Floyd Stewart of Henderson; five sisters, Ottie Lee Rezendes of Rohnert Park, Calif.; Etta Mae Moore of Bryan; Leatice Auldridge of Amarillo; Edna Davis of Salina, Kan.; Rosa Lee Kurykendall [sic] of Virginia Beach, Va.; his mother, Sarah Stewart of Salina, Kan.; eight granchildren [sic]; one great-grandchild; and two great-great-grandchildren.
