He was born October 29, 1924 at Terrell, Texas to Earl Linus and Sarah Elizabeth (DeBoard) Stewart. Roy moved to Borger in 1945 and attended the Church of Christ. Until his retirement, he was a mechanic for Phillips Petroleum.
Mr. Stewart had 3 wives: Jeanne (Wilson) Stewart ( 1943), Juanita (Hayes) Stewart (1948) and Marcella (Hill) Stewart (1958).
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Marcella; 2 sisters: Ottie Lee Rezendes and Etta Mae Moore; 3 brothers: E.J. Stewart, Loyzett Stewart and Floyd Stewart.
Left behind to cherish his memory are 2 daughters: Sarah Armstrong of Little Elm, Texas and Cora Moss and husband Kyle of Borger, Texas: 3 sisters: Leatries Auldridge of Borger, Edna Davis of Salina, Kansas and Rose Kuykendall and husband Melvin of Ahoske, North Carolina; 5 grandchildren: Sam Armstrong, Pride Armstrong, Lisl Armstrong, Stewart Moss and Lisa Duncan; 11 great grand children and 5 great -great grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
The family wishes to extend a personal "thank you" to all the staff at Golden Years Assisted Living for their loving care and attention shown to their father.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Highland Park Cemetery, Borger.
Services are entrusted to Brown Funeral Director, Borger.
