Stella M. Stewart, 85, died Sunday, May 28, at her home in Borger.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, at Brown's Chapel of the fountains with Bro. Tim Barnard, pastor of Faith Fellowship officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.

Arrangements are entrust to Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mrs. Stewart was born July 4, 1920, in Prague, Okla. She was a housewife.

She was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary where she was past vice-president.

Mrs. Stewart was preceded in death by her husband Loyzet "Lon" Stewart in 1990, a grandson Dennis M. Sam. Jr. in 1961 and a sister Juanita Hernandez in 2004.

Survivors include a son Dean and wife Terrie Stewart of Borger; a daughter Marqueita Tate of Borger; two brothers, Roy Hayes of Chandler, Okla., and W.G. Hayes of McLoud, Okla.; a sister Mable Ramsey of Borger; eight grandchildren, Tina and Dale Hogue of Dumas; Lisa Hernandez, Dana Rahorst and Rita Jackson, all of Amarillo; Michael and Many Hernandez of Borger; David Tate of Marietta, Ohio; Amanda and Jesse Griffin of Borger; Stephanie and Brian Mensen of Amarillo; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Casket bearers will be Jimmie Hernandez, Michael Shawn Bontke, Dale Hogue, Dana Rahorst, Rita Jackson and Michael Wayne Hernandez.
