MOULTON -- Ben Jack Jeffreys, 78, Rt. 1, Town Creek, died Monday at 9:15 p.m. at the residence.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Okalona Baptist Church with Rev. W.H. Myhan and Rev. Jack Carroll officiating. Burial will be in Roden cemetery with Elliott Brown-Service directing.

The body will lie in state at the church for one hour.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Luda A. Jeffreys; four sons, Jesse, Gurna, Lloyd and Dempsey Jeffreys, all of Rt. 1, Town Creek; four daughters, Mrs. Ellis Haygood, Rt. 1, Town Creek, Mrs. Travis Walker, Rt. 2, Mt. Hope, Mrs. Milton Wood, Rt. 2, Leighton, Mrs. Ted Lansford, Vincent; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. R.L. Butler, Florence, Mrs. McKinley Etheredge, Moulton; three brothers, Mark, Henry Jeffreys, Rt. 1, Town Creek, A.W. Jeffreys, Prospect, Tenn.

Bearers will be Clarence Jeffreys, Ralph Jeffreys, Horace Jeffreys, Emmett Jeffreys, Ted Etheredge, Lester Taylor.

He was a member of the Okalona Baptist Church.
