William Grissom, 91, formerly of Southern Oregon, died Dec. 9 at a hospital in Wendell, Idaho, following a long illness.

Mr. Grissom was born Jan. 19, 1879, at Santa Rosa, Calif., and moved to Oregon as a boy. His parents lived on a ranch near Climax, and Mr. Grissom worked at a limber mill in California for several years. On Sept. 17, 1912, he married Minnie Stimson at Medford. She died in 1961. In 1917 the family moved to Gooding, Idaho, where he farmed until 1947, when he retired. The last few years he has lived with a daughter in Wendell. He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows Lodge, Shasta, Calif.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mark (Evelyn) Strickland and Mrs. James (Elva) Sutton, both Wendell; one brother, Herb Grissom, Central Point; three sisters, Mrs. Al (Florence) Coe, Ashland, Mrs. Anna Tonn, Central Point, and Mrs. Lillie Cingcade, San Diego, Calif., 44 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services were held Dec. 14 at the Methodist Church in Wendell with the Rev. Woodrow Harris officiating. Graveside services in Wendell Cemetery were held by Wendell IOOF Lodge.
