"Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 2, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Spencer for Fay Lucille Mathisen. Rev. Gerald Hallauer officiated.
Pallbearers were Alfred Mathlson, Wendell Borland, Warren Mcintosh, Perry Martinson. Walter Terrell and Tom Johnson.
Interment was at the Oakland Cemetery la Peterson with the Warner Funeral Home In
charge of arrangements.
Faye Lucille was born on May 22, 1888 at Mindon, Nebr., the daughter of Quimby Weeks Pierce and Virgina Painter.
She married Andrew Peter Mathisen on June 13, 1009 at Peterson.
She was a member of the Women's Guild of the First Congregational Church, Post Matron of Blue Bird Chapter of the Eastern Star of Royal and Past Noble Grand of the Rebekah Lodge also of Royal.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and five sisters.
Survivors Include her children, Kermit of Hamilton, Ohio, Dale of Salinas. Calif., Mrs. Leland (Mildred) K. Williams, Salinas, Calif., Mrs. V.J. (Nina) Wood of Spirit Lake, Mrs. Melvin (Louella) Sitz also of Spirit Lake.
Two sisters also survive, Mrs. D.S. Borland and Mrs. Ruby Stoner both of Spencer. Twelve
grandchildren and 11 great grand children."
