"On June 19, 1929 she married Carl Peterson. They farmed in the Royal area for many years. Carl passed away May 31, 1957.

Nina married V. J. (Chubb) Wood March 18, 1962 and they lived in Calumet for several years. The built a home on Spirit Lake in 1966 where Chubb passed away November 9, 1986.

Nina was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, serving as president of the GLCW for two years as well as heading the Elderberries." Dickinson County News

"Funeral services were held Wednesday Jan. 13, 2010, at Grace Lutheran Church in Spint lake for Nina Peterson Wood of Spirit Like and formerly of Royal. Rev Charles Gilbert officiated the service, with interment at Willow Creek Cemetery in Royal.
Nina Peterson Wood was born October 1, 1909, at Linn Grove, to Andrew Peter Mathison and Fay Pierce Mathison Slu received her education in Royal, graduating in 192"
