Services for Travis Martin, 87, of Seymour will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Seymour with the Rev. Larry Crumpton officiating.

Burial will be at the Masonic Cemetery in Seymour under the direction of Archer Funeral Home in Seymour.

He died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2002.

He was born Oct. 27, 1915, in Westover. He was a graduate of Megargel High School and Texas Tech. He married Mavoureen Reeves on Nov. 18, 1939. She died Nov. 18, 1999.

He owned and operated Martin Motors, an Allis Chalmers and Chrysler automotive dealership for many years. He also was a farmer and rancher in Baylor County and had moved to Lubbock from Seymour in June 1999.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Seymour, a Shriner, a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Texas Tech Red Raider Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Alyce Anne Chism and Gloria Fuller, both of Lubbock; a sister, Viola Henderson of Abilene; a brother, Jerry of Seymour; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
