Delores K. Moore, 78, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, in Franklin. She was a lifelong resident of Franklin.
She was born Dec. 14, 1930, in Franklin to Harry Moore and Sarah Elizabeth (Beatty) Moore.
Survivors include five siblings, William C. (Marlene) VanCleave and Linny VanCleave, both of Franklin, Lester Allen (Doris) VanCleave of Connersville, Beatrice (Jim) Davis of Rushville and Felecia Jones of Syracuse.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; her stepfather, Buford VanCleave Sr.; a brother, Buford VanCleave Jr.; and a brother-in-law, John T. Jones Jr.
She attended Booker T. Washington Grade School and Alva Neal High School in Franklin.
Delores was employed by Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin, Topps Department Store in Greenwood, Tanyika Inn, Whitaker's Packaging and Tearman Motel, all in Franklin, and Wellman's in Shelbyville.
She attended Second Missionary Baptist Church in Franklin. Delores enjoyed putting puzzles together and doing paint by numbers. She loved to watch soap operas and was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan.
A service will be conducted by the Rev. Irvin French at 1 p.m. Saturday at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton St. (U.S. 31 North), Franklin. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
