WILLIAM BALDWIN
---Funeral services were Friday, December 26, for William Edwin Baldwin, sixty-five, of La Crosse, who died the day before Christmas in a Kirksville hospital of a cerebral blood clot. Rev. Fred Hudson conducted the services at the Community Presbyterian Church in La Plata.
---Baldwin, the son of Edwin and Annie Baldwin, was born September 19, 1887 near Atlanta, Missouri.
---He united with the Presbyterian Church at Bear Creek when a young man, attending services there as long as they convened.
---In October, 1914, he married Miss Estella Sterling. The couple moved to a farm near La Crosse where they lived until his death. One son, Herman, was born to the couple.
---Survivors include his wife, his son and three granddaughters of La Crosse and a niece, Mrs. Alice Barnhart of Kansas City, whom Mr. and Mrs. Baldwin raised; also two brothers, Charles of Kansas City and Olin of Garrison, Iowa; four sisters, Mrs. Henry Vose of Atlanta, Mrs. Ralph Young of La Plata, Mrs. Ray Thompson of Kansas City and Mrs. Fisher Williams of Elmer and a number of nieces and nephews.
---Interment was in the La Plata cemetery.

Family records list him as Edwin William Baldwin. His cemetery stone has: William E. Baldwin. William married Bessie E. Sterling on Oct. 7, 1914 and they had one son:
1) Herman Glenwood Baldwin.
They also adopted the daughter of Walter W. and Alice Amelia Baldwin Wilhite.
