Daniel A. Ahart, 67, of 23 Easterly Av., Auburn, died in Memoiral Hospital there on Tuesday.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Daniel and Mary Nichols Ahart.
He was a graduate of St. Mary's and Oswego High School and had served in the Merchant Marines for 20 years. Prior to his retirement in 1976, he had been employed at Nestle Chocolate Company, Fulton.
Surviving are a son, Robert Ahart of Salt Lake City; two daughters, Mrs. Victor (Sandra) Canale of Oswego, and Mrs. Barbara Rice of Auburn, eight brothers, Ralph, Leonard, Willard, Charles, Lawrence and Neil Ahart of Oswego, Harold and Robert Ahart of St. Paul, Minn; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Friday at 8:30 at the Dowdle Funeral Home and at 9 a.m.m in St. Mary's Church. Spring burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
Calling hours on Wednesday are from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
