Miss Katie Ackerman, daughter of John and Magdalena Ackerman was born May 15, 1849, near Groveland, Tazewell county, IL, and passed away Wednesday evening,
June 17, 1936 at the home of her niece, Mrs. Fred McGehey, at the age of 87 years, 7 months and 2 days. She leaves to mourn her departure, two brothers, Henry Ackerman of Groveland, IL, and Abe Ackerman of near Milford and two sisters, Mrs. Susan
Rediger of North Hollywood, Cal. and Mrs. George Angermeier of Milford. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Sister Ackerman was known by all relatives and friends as Aunt Kate and she was an aunt in the true sense of the word. For nearly 50 years she made her home with her sister, the late Mrs. John S. Miller, and after the death of Mrs. Miller, made her home wlth her niece, Mrs. Fred McGehey. A little over a year ago she suffered a light stroke, from which she fully recovered. Aunt Kate was gloriously saved while quite young and through all the trials and temptations of the enemy, remained true to her Savior, whom she longed to meet. Her most stirring and ringing testimonies were given during the last
few months of her earthly journey, and she being dead, yet speaketh.
