EDITH F. (DURNIL) CLARK, 77, of Fort Wayne, died Friday, Oct. 9, 2009, at Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. Edith was born September 26, 1932 to Wesley and Rozetta Durnil in Cambellsburg, Washington County, Indiana and joined in Holy Matrimony to William Dean Clark on August 24, 1952 in Fountain County, Indiana. Surviving are four daughters, a son, four brothers, five sisters, several grandchildren and several great grandchildren and a sister in-law.
Edith was preceded in death by her beloved husband, three precious children, her mother in-law, 2 brother in-laws, her parents, six brothers, and two sisters.
Edith worked for several years before and shortly after being married then chose to stay home to raise her five children. She returned to work after her children were grown adults with children of their own and retired a few years after the passing of her beloved husband Bill.
Edith was a horticulturist who loved planting gardens and raising flowers as well as a hobbyist in knitting, crocheting, quilting and loved oil painting. She enjoyed putting jigsaw puzzles together and playing cards with her husband, mother in-law, sister in-law, children and friends.
