Hazel was a terrific lady. She was always trying to be the peacemaker in the family, which wasn't possible since there were 12 living children, many of whom vied for attention. She helped her sisters to care for their Father and mother when they no longer could care for themselves. She worked for many years and always tried her best to provide along with her husbands for her children.
Hazel would visit with us and I remember the laughs and the heartfelt love and caring in Hazel's heart for her family no matter who they were. She didn't approve of the many antics that occurs in a large family as hers but she managed to place it in such a manner that she never chose one member over another.
Hazel was a very caring and loving lady who lived a long life and now rests in the arms of our Lord for eternal peace.
Hazel is survived by her two sons; three brothers; two granddaughters; fourteen great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rex E. Rembe in 1980 and to whom she had been married for thirty years and her second husband, Donald M. Moore in 2014; brothers, Clyde, Carl, Darrell, William, Wesley, Louis and Morris Durnil; sisters, Ruby Sutton, Wilma Crowder, Dorthey Lyon, Anna Setser, Edith Clark and Doris and Linda Durnil; two grandchildren, Lori Lee and Michael Todd and one great grandson, Jacob Powers.
