Roper, Lois Fern (Clancy)
Funeral service for Lois Fern (Clancy) Roper, 92, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at the College Heights Baptist Church, Chickasha.
Lois Fern (Clancy) Roper was born January 14, 1913 in Delhi, Oklahoma the daughter of George W. and Fannie M. (Cook) Clancy and died April 7, 2005 in Elgin, Oklahoma.
Lois attended school at Spring Creek School in Delhi, Oklahoma. She was employed by W & B Flying School, S. H. Kress Company, Jerald Dress Shop, Singer Sewing Company, Jo Ann's Apparel, Top Value Stamp Store all of Chickasha. She was also hostess at Oddfellow Camp at Davis, Oklahoma and worked at Hallmark House of Flowers of Chickasha. Lois was also a self employed seamstress from 1975 until her retirement. She was a member of the College Heights Baptist Church, Evergreen Rebekah Lodge. She served as past president and past district deputy president of the Lodge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis W. Roper March 14, 1979; her parents; one sister, Dolly; five brothers, Luther, James, Emzley, Tommy and Bill Clancy; one grandson, three great grandsons and one great granddaughter.
Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
