She married George Franklin Brundige on October 30, 1923, in Mangum and he preceded her in death in 1979.
A faithful member of the Church of Christ, Mrs. Brundige loved quilting and sewing, and for many years, she made her children's clothes. Susie worked at the hamburger Inn for many years making the best hamburgers in town.
Susie was the type of person that would do anything for anyone and she never said an unkind word about anyone. Susie loved everyone and everyone loved her.
Preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Jerry Brundige and Raymond Albert Brundige; one daughter, Betty Sue Brundige, she is survived by six children, Andrew Burton Brundige and wife Ruth, Earl Wayne Brundige and wife Beth, Virginia Lee Zinn and husband Robert all of Mangum, Billy Joe Brundige and wife Carol of Canyon, Texas, Peggy Ann Kimmons of Grandbury, Texas and Judy Marie Niblo and husband Hank of Dallas, Texas; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-eight great grandchildren; twenty-three great-great
grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Susie Bell Brundige will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 24, 2007, at the Mangum Church of Christ with Roger Todd and Todd McRay officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
