FT. VALLEY - Funeral services for L. W. Rowland, 76, who died Wednesday in the Peach County Hospital after a long illness, were to be held at 4 p.m. in the Ft. Valley First Methodist Church. The Rev. Sanford Brown and the Rev. G. N. Rainey were to officiate with burial in the Oakland {Oaklawn} Cemetery. A native of Crawford County, Mr. Rowland was a merchant in Ft. Valley for 32 years. He was a member of the Ft. Valley First Methodist Church, the Ft. Valley Masonic Lodge and the York Rite Bodies. Survivors include his widow, the former Miss Julia Giles of Ft. Valley; two daughters, Mrs. J. G. Beck and Mrs. W. B. Wilson both of Ft. Valley; one son T. G. Rowland of Ft. Valley; one sister, Mrs. Beatrice Lisenby of Macon; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Books Funeral Home Ft. Valley had charge of arrangements.
