FORT VALLEY, May 5 - Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at McCord's chapel for Ollie George Rowland, who died in the Montezuma hospital on May 2 after a long illness. He was born in Houston county and was 56 years of age. The Rev. M. D. Reed, pastor of the Fort Valley Baptist church conducted the funeral services and interment was in Oaklawn cemetery. Survivors are his wife, the former Ellie L. Long, two daughters, Mrs. Jewel Evans, of Fort Valley and Mrs. Opal Sorrels of Montezuma and one son, J. Roy Rowland of Fort Valley, one sister, Mrs. Ernest Lisenby of Macon and eight grandchildren.
