Mrs. Kathy E. Davis, 57, of Caruthersville, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2009.
She was born March 29, 1951 in Caruthersville to John Montgomery and Lena Mae McCutchen.
May 31, 1969 in Pemiscot County, she was united in marriage to Edward (Butch) Davis.
Kathy was a business woman, owning and operating the Professional Hair Academy here in Caruthersville for the past 15 years. She was a lifetime resident of the Bootheel area and had trained hundreds of hair stylist in her career.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lena Mae McCutchen Montgomery.
She leaves her husband of 39 years, Edward (Butch) Davis; a son Edward L. Davis and his wife Vicki; her father, John Montgomery; two sisters, Patricia Slentz and her husband Brady and Diane Hudgins and her husband Gene; one brother, Johnny L. Montgomery and his wife Stella; two grandchildren and one great grandchild, as well as numerous other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services were held Monday, March 2, 2009 at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville with Rev. Karen Hartung officiating. Burial was held in the Little Praire Cemetery in Caruthersville.
