Johnny was born in Caruthersville, Missouri on September 4, 1946 to John and Lena (McCutcheon) Montgomery. He enlisted in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era and received an honorable discharge. On November 25, 1967 Johnny married Stella Estraca in Jonesboro, Arkansas and they were married over 46 years before his death. He worked as a journeyman fiberglass repairman for many years. He enjoyed rock hunting, listening to music, and working on things. Johnny loved spending time with his kids and grandkids and just sitting around talking to family and friends and playing dominoes were some of his favorite times.
Johnny is survived by his wife Stella Montgomery of the home; one son, Johnny Lynn Montgomery, Jr. of Granite; one daughter, Yolanda Leah Maxwell of Lawton; two granddaughters, Stormy Montgomery and Leah Hawkins; five grandsons, Kole Maxwell, Tyler Maxwell, James Maxwell, Issac Maxwell, and Eli Maxwell; one great granddaughter; three sisters; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Graveside service will be 2:00 pm, Monday, March 31st, 2014 at Rock Cemetery just west of Granite, Oklahoma under the direction of Greer Funeral Home-Granite, Oklahoma.
