STAUNTON-Final Rites for Mrs. Sarah Ann Poore, 80, who died at her home Saturday at 5:50 p.m. have been set for 10 a.m. from the Fritz Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Charles Smith of the First Baptist Church. Interment will be in City Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home this afternoon and until services.
The daughter of William and Mary Sawyer, Mrs. Poore was born April 20, 1884 in West Prairie in Dorchester Township. She was married Oct. 24, 1909 to Harrison A. Poore, who died Feb. 2, 1946. Surviving are 3 daughters; Mrs. Virginia Paulich of Tempe, Arizona, Mrs. Wilma Bond of Wood River, and Mrs. Irma Simons of Staunton; 2 brothers, Anderson and Harrison Sawyer, both of Staunton. 7 grandchildren and 9 great-granchildren.
