MR. SAWYER
Anderson Sawyer, 91, lifelong resident of Staunton, died at 8:30 p.m. Sunday in Community Memorial Hospital in Staunton.
He was born April 2, 1878, the son of the late William and Mary Sawyer.
He was married to Mary Bond in 1916. He was a retired railroad bridge builder and had been employed by the Illinois Terminal Railroad.
His survivors are one son, Dan J. Sawyer, Gillespie; one brother, Harrison Sawyer, Staunton, and three grandchildren.
Besides his parents, his wife preceded him in death.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton.
Funeral Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Staunton City Cemetery.
