Mary W. Linn was born in Beech Creek, Howard Twp. Clinton County, PA, on May 26, 1836 to Andrew Linn Jr. and Barbara Leathers-Linn.

She married twice. She married (1) John "Harlevich" AKA Halwick, then married (2) John Wesche (after 1875, date of death of 1st wife of John Wesche). They resided in Pavilion, Kendall Co., IL in August of 1887.

Mary W. Linn, John Halwick, and John Wesche Sr. are all buried in Pavilion Cemetery, Kendall Co., IL.

She was listed as a resident in the census report in Howard Township, Centre Co., PA, 1840. She was listed as a resident in the census report in Liberty Township, Centre Co., PA, August 7, 1850.

She resided in Pavilion, Kendall Co., IL August 1887. She resided in Yorkville, Kendall Co., IL October 25, 1912. Additional Census Information 1840 lists Mary, free white female, age group under 5. 1850 lists Mary, age 13, born in Pennsylvania. Mary resided in Yorkville, IL in 1912.

When the estate of Jacob Leathers Sr. (grandfather of Barbara Leathers Linn) was finally settled by Samuel B. Leathers in 1870, Mary Linn daughter of Barbara listed her first husband as John Harlvich and her second husband as a "Witchey" (proabably written more or less as it was heard). Kendall Co., IL death records indicate, Wesche.

OBIT: Broken Hip Brings Fatal Results - Mrs. Mary Wesche died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Inscho, southwest of Yorkville, Monday morning. The death resulted from injuries received in a fall which she suffered a few weeks ago in which she fractured her hip. Not having been in good health for some time the injury caused added suffering and death came to her relief. Mrs. Wesche was 86 years of age and had come to Kendall County when a young girl from Pennsylvania. She was a sister of the late William G. Linn. Left to mourn are four children; Henry and Flora, who live in Michigan; Mrs. Emma Goodyear of South Dakota; John H. and Mrs. Frank Inscho of Yorkville. The funeral is being held this morning from the Inscho home.
