OBITUARY
Elizabeth Lovina Truman was born August 25, 1853 in Springfield, Oneida county, Illinois. She passed away October 27, 1935 at the age of 82 years, 2 months and 2 days. She was the daughter of Harrison and Elizabeth Hartford.
At the age of six she moved to Iowa with her parents and six years later moved to Nebraska.
In the year 1872 she was married to John Piper, who preceded her in death January 5, 1887.
To this union was born three children, one daughter preceding her mother in death on July 4, 1878.
On October 9, 1899 Elizabeth L. Piper and Isaac H. Truman were united in marriage. Mr. Truman passed away on February 20, 1907.
For the past twenty-nine years Mrs. Truman has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Henry Hartford. Also spending a part of each year with her daughter, Mrs. Robert M. Reed of Fremont, Neb.
She leaves to mourn her death, her daughter, Mrs. Henry Hartford, Iowa; her daughter, Mrs. Robert M. Reed and Mr. Reed of Fremont, Neb.; two grandchildren, Mrs. Leroy Worden of Moorhead, and Mrs. George W. Borreson of Wahoo, Neb., and three great grandchildren, besides many other relatives and friends.
A short service was held Monday morning at 9:30 in the Hartford home in Moorhead, after which the remains were taken to Waterloo, Nebr., where the funeral service was held in charge of the Christian church. The service was in charge of the pastor, Rev. M. Dwight Walker. It was in this church in Waterloo where Mrs. Truman, as Elizabeth Lovina Hartford was baptized.
Music was furnished by Mrs. Parker and Mae Outhouse.
She was laid to rest beside her husband in the Prospect Hill cemetery.
