Rev. Elmo Armin Cook, 72, of Meeker, died Thursday, May 6, 1999 in Meeker.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 10, at the United Methodist Church in Meeker. Burial will be at Meeker.
Rev. Cook was born Feb. 12, 1927 to Harry and Ida (Marks) Cook in Logan County. He attended Harding School through the 10th grade and graduated from Sterling High School. He attended North Central College in Naperville,Ill.
He married Joan Harns on Aug. 23, 1950.
He taught at Lincoln Elementary School in Sterling and at Harding School. He also worked for B.F. Goodrich. He owned and operated the Add-A-Bud flower shop in Sterling for a number of years.
Rev. Cook served as a minister at United Methodist Churches in Hillrose/Snyder, Meeker and Craig.
He was a member of the Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife Joan; a son Stanley and wife Pat of Meeker; three daughters, Jan and husband Denver Hayes of Meeker, Ann and husband George Goehi of Farmington, N.M., and Pam and husband Chuck Kern of Palisade; two brothers, his twin Arlo Cook of Santa Maria, Calif., and Lester Cook of Wheatridge; three sisters, Velma Richards of Little ton, Inez Andersen of Reddick, Ill., and Eleanor Carison of Sterling; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in d6tfth by a brother, Herbert Cook of Ster ling.
