Mr. Meier received his elementary education is SS. Peter and Paul Grade School and graduated from Waterloo Public High School. He was Business Adviser and Territory Manager for the Oliver Corporation, was a World War II USAF veteran, a member of St. Simon’s Catholic Church and the B.P.O.E. of Washington.
Besides his wife, Hazel, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Meier of Waterloo, he is survived by three brothers, Raymond of Affton, MO., Vincent of Affton, MO. And Cletus Meier of Xenia, Ohio. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia and Rita Mary.
The remains were in state at the Gill Funeral Home in Washington, Indiana were Psi Iota Xi members called on Sunday. The body was brought to the Quernheim Funeral Home in Waterloo on Monday and funeral services were conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday in SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Hellrung officiating at a Requiem High Mass. Interment was in the SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
