Hazel O. Meier, nee Daley, 86, born December 19, 1926, passed away, Monday, September 30, 2013, in Edwardsville, Illinois. Mrs. Meier was an avid card player, especially pinochle. She donated her time to the Meals on Wheels organization and also to anyone that needed transportation to and from appointments. She was loving, caring, and tended to others needs; she will truly be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester W. Meier; her longtime companion, Robert Fraser, her parents, Herbert and Frieda, nee Huebner, Daley; her sisters, Henrietta (Orville) Kammler and Mildred (George) Parker; and a brother-in-law, Ralph Schaefer. Surviving are her sisters, Adelia Schaefer, of Roseburg, Oregon and Audrey (Vernon) Glauert, of Shiloh, Illinois; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.Memorials are appreciated to the Relais Bonne Eau Hospice Home, Hospice of Southern Illinois.
