MARION - Jeanette Altman Wesley, 77, died Thursday, September 10, 2009, at McLeod Hospice House after a brief illness. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 13, at First United Methodist of Marion. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00-3:00 pm at the Church. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery directed by Richardson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wesley was born in Johnsonville, SC, a daughter of the late John Briley Altman and Juanita Eaddy Altman. She is also predeceased by her husband, William Clyde "Billy" Wesley.

Mrs. Wesley was a member of First United Methodist Church in Marion, and the Morning Study Group Church Circle. She was an avid Bridge and Canasta player, and was a member of the Azalea Garden Club. Mrs. Wesley was retired from working as School Secretary for Southside Elementary in Marion.

Surviving are her son, William C. Wesley Jr., of Cayce, SC; daughters, Tanya W. Skorput and her husband, Tony, of Marion, SC, and Kristi W. Craig, and her husband, Jamie, of Conway, SC; brother, Charles Altman, of Lake City, SC; sister, Leta Bartell of Hemingway, SC; grandchildren, Seth C. Skorput, Corey J. Craig, Weslyn S. Rabon (Joey), Jenna C. Thames (JT), Jaron A. Skorput, and great-grandson Leighton C. Rabon.
