Discrepancy: Nathans' headstone indicates he was born on 02 Jan 1838. This is incorrect. Historical records reveal he was actually born in May 1846.

He was the 7th child born to Nathan Moses Pilkington, Sr and Ruth Jane "Ruthie" West.

He would marry Harriett Melitha Stephenson; daughter of John P. Stephenson and Margaret Bradshaw; ca. 1864 in Macon County.

Eight children would be born to this union:

(3) Sarah Jane {Pilkington} Crisp
(4) Margaret C {Pilkington} Gregg
