Ruth Dewater Hopkins, 73, 220 East G, died August 15, 1989, at Hutchinson Hospital. Born Levetta Ruth Dewater February 7, 1916, at Joplin, Missouri., she married Clarence E. Hopkins July 7, 1962 at Hutchinson. A Homemaker, she was a resident of Hutchinson most of her life. She was a member of full Gospel Church, Hutchinson.

Survivors: husband, of the home; sons, Chester and Jesse Pinkston, both of Hutchinson; stepsons, Larry Hopkins, Texas, John Hopkins Denver; daughters, Alice Pinkston, Janice Gerou, and Linda Fletchall, all of Hutchinson; stepdaughter, Lorene Bickford, Claremore, Oklahoma; brothers, Lester Dewater, Moutainberg, Arkansas; Rat Dewater, Phoenix, Merle Dewater, South Hutchinson, Leland Dewater, Idaho; sisters, Opal Heliker, Wichita, Virginia West, Helen Morton, and Martha Francis, all of Hutchinson, Thelma Cross, South Hutchinson, Wanda Shehorn, Mississippi; 16 Grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at full Gospel Church, Pastor Betty Pinkston. Burial will be in Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to p.m. today and from
9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Johnson and Sons Funeral Home, Hutchinson. Memorials may go to the Church.
