Margaret was the daughter of Jonas Wesley Parks and Lou Annie (Combs) Parks. Jonas and Lou Annie were married September 11, 1911 and had 8 children, John Wesley, Annie Bell, Mary Lee, un-named, Lou Alice, Ollie Mae, Margaret Evelyn and un-named. The 4th child was still born. The last child both mother and baby died in child birth.
Margaret was first married to Charles Russell Pulliam in Jan 1940. Her and Charles adopted one son, Thomas Russell Pulliam. After Charles died in 1957 she remained single until she married Claude Thomas Tayloe, Jr. in Jan 1965. They did not have any children together. Margaret unofficially adopted two girls Pat Marth and her sister Carol Poole prior to her marriage to Claude.
Margaret Evelyn Tayloe, age 82, of Wytheville, Va, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002. Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 14, at 10 a.m. in the Grubb Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in the Shiloh Cemetery, Pulaski, Va. She was the daughter of the late J.W. and Lula Combs Parks. She was retired form the Jafree Shirt Factory. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Tayloe. Survivors include two daughters, Pat Marth of Laplata, MD, and Carol Poole of Satellite Beach, FL; a son, Thomas Pulliam of Arlington, TX; two sisters, Ollie Demidovich of Bland, VA, and Alice Runyon of Michigan; and nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The Grubb Funeral Home in Wytheville, VA, was in charge of the arrangements.
