Margaret was first married to Charles Russell Pulliam in Jan 1940. Her and Charles adopted one son, Thomas Russell Pulliam. After Charles died in 1957 she remained single until she married Claude Thomas Tayloe, Jr. in Jan 1965. They did not have any children together. Margaret unofficially adopted two girls Pat Marth and her sister Carol Poole prior to her marriage to Claude.
Margaret Evelyn Tayloe, age 82, of Wytheville, Va, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002. Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 14, at 10 a.m. in the Grubb Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in the Shiloh Cemetery, Pulaski, Va. She was the daughter of the late J.W. and Lula Combs Parks. She was retired form the Jafree Shirt Factory. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Tayloe. Survivors include two daughters, Pat Marth of Laplata, MD, and Carol Poole of Satellite Beach, FL; a son, Thomas Pulliam of Arlington, TX; two sisters, Ollie Demidovich of Bland, VA, and Alice Runyon of Michigan; and nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The Grubb Funeral Home in Wytheville, VA, was in charge of the arrangements.
