Glenn E. Stuber, 83, of Tremont died at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.

He was born Nov. 6, 1925, in rural Tremont to Peter and Emma Riggenbach Stuber. He married Dorothy Hill on Sept. 4, 1949, in Sandston, Va., and she survives.

Also surviving are one son, Todd (Beth) Stuber of Tremont; one daughter, Peggy (Walter) Mueller of Mansfield, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Harold (Berniece) Stuber of St. Louis, Mo., Nelson (Ella) Stuber of Morton, Floyd (Doris) Stuber of Merced, Calif., LaVern "Jug" (LaDonna) Stuber of Tremont and Paul "PJ" (Barb) Stuber of Tulare, Calif.; and three sisters, Nola Koch of Tremont, Loreen Haring of Pasadena, Calif., and Wrena Hill of Sandston, Va.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Hap, Lester and Eugene.

Glenn owned and operated Stuber Bros. Builders in Tremont from 1960 to 1971, then Glenn Stuber & Son from 1971 until his retirement in 1990.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was a member of Apostolic Christian Church in Tremont.

Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery in Tremont.
