Constance "Connie" Kay Homsey Naifeh was born August 26, 1946 to Mr. and Mrs. Sam Homsey in Oklahoma City. She left this earth to join her Heavenly Father on Thursday, August 27, 2009. Connie graduated from Northwest Classen High School in 1964 and attended Oklahoma State University. In 1967 Connie married the love of her life Franklin K. Naifeh and they shared 43 wonderful years of marriage. "Coco," as her grandchildren so lovingly named her, had her greatest joy from spending time with her family. She enjoyed participating in "Ma-Jong" group, Chicks & Balances, Weeders & Cedars Club, Baptist Foundation, Wednesday Morning Bible Study, Red Earth and Casady organizations for her sons. Connie also showed her devotion to her faith by participating in many activities at St. Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church, especially being head of the kitchen for the annual bake sale for many years and Ladies Guild. The one thing Connie always said, "My door is always open." Connie is survived by her beloved Franklin, and children and grandchildren, Todd and Elizabeth Naifeh, Margaret and Robert, Justin and Monique Naifeh, Jackson, Caroline, and Katherine, Blair and Stephanie Naifeh. Her family will most fondly remember meals lovingly and deliciously prepared by Coco's hands. She is also survived by her siblings, Richard and Cindy Homsey, Roger and Sandra "Cookie" Deeba, Michael and Sydney Homsey, Robert Z. and Jeaneen Naifeh and Leilah Naifeh Farha and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her grandson James Thomas Naifeh, her parents Sam and Margaret Homsey, in-laws Zeak and Rose Naifeh, and sister-in-law Selma Naifeh. The Trisagion will be held Friday, August 28, 2009 at 7:00 in the evening and the funeral will be Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 10:30 in the morning at St. Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church, 15000 North May Avenue. Interment follows at Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The St. Elijah Flowers That Do Not Wither Fund and the Oklahoma Chapter of the Susan G Koman Foundation.
