Emma Louise Christenson, daughter of Andrew and Emma Anderson, was born in Sweden, April 5, 1881.
At the age of 21 years she came to America to join her father in Illinois. They lived there until 1898 when they came to Douglas County.
In 1914 she was united in marriage to Henry Christenson of Brandon. To this union two children were born. Elda, who is at home, and Roy, who is with the 14th Air Force in China.
Mrs. Christenson has been in ill health for the past six years but seemed much improved until she suffered several strokes during the past week. She passed away Dec. 15 at the age of 65 years, 9 months and 10 days.
She is survived by her husband, son and daughter, also be a sister, Mrs. Carl Fredrickson of Moe, four brothers, Clarence of Brandon, August and Oscar of Moe and Gust of Osakis.
Funeral services were held in Grace Lutheran church at Brandon, Dec. 18 with Rev. A. T. Tjornhom officiating. Interment was made in the family lot at the Brandon cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Foslien, John Hammergren, Alfred Aho, Emil Linnard, Martin Olson.
