Mrs. Mary A. Perezek, 85, lifelong resident of the Lone Tree area, died Monday Oct. 20 at Extended Care Center, Iowa City.

Service for Mrs. Perezek will be held Thursday Oct. 23 at 2 p.m. at the Grace United Church of Christ with Rev. Roy Shaughnessy officiating.

Mrs. Perezek was born in Lone Tree, May 12, 1884, the daughter of Michael and Mary Stamm Schuessler. She married Charles Perezek on March 11, 1903, in the home of her parents. The couple then moved to a farm Northwest of Lone Tree where they farmed until 1939 when they moved into Lone Tree.

She was a member of the Grace United Church of Christ, Lone Tree, and belonged to the Church Guild and the Y Book Club.

She is survived by one son, Leslie and one daughter Mrs. Clarence (Gladys) Amish both of Lone Tree. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Frieda Carpenter, Laura Schuessler, both of Lone Tree and Mrs. Bertha Jehle of Moline, Illinois; and two brothers, Arthur Schuessler, Lone Tree and Albert Schuessler of Iowa City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sisters and two brothers.

Pallbearers were Earl Walker, Ed Walker, Vernon Burr, Vic Mueller, Charles Crawford, and John Kinkaid. Sorden & Adams were in charge of arrangements.
